The Economics of Fun

It's too hot to go outside, so I have lightened up on my gaming/TV watching restrictions. Big time. Thus, while I was cleaning the kitchen this morning, #3 was able to make a keen observation while playing one of his games.

Him: Uh, Mom. I'm trying to buy a bath tub for my guy.

Me: Oh really?

Him: Yeah. But, I don't have enough money for it. I can't even afford it, you know.

Me: Well, how do you get money to buy it?

Him: I have to do a lot of games to get enough money.

Me: You get paid for winning games?

Him: Yep. But it's just not that simple, Mom.
