Zoology 101

At lunch today, I gave #3 a "mercy" from our regularly-scheduled "no TV, DVD, Computers, or Video Games during the school week" rule. So, we opened up the 'puter and watched a few YouTube videos of ridiculously adorable baby animals. The last one we watched was a simple video of a baby giraffe looking into a camera. Our commentary:

Me: (gushing) Oh, look at those sweet eyes!

Him: (gushy, but trying to keep it together like a man) Yeah, they are pretty cute.

Me: Those eyes are sooooo cute.

Him: Yeah, I fink so, too. Those are girl eyes.

Me: You think so?

Him: Yep, giraffes are girls, you know. (stating a well known fact)

Me: (ignorant of this fact) Really?

Him: Yep, giraffes are girls and elephants are boys.
