Use Extreme Caution

#1 was suffering terribly over a very, very loose tooth that needed pulling this morning. Should he pull it? Should he wait until it falls out on its own? Will it hurt? Will it bleed? Will he survive? All very important and pertinent questions that arose at the breakfast table.

As #1 got up to go brush his loose tooth--and presumably all the rest of them, too--#2 offered this advice:

#2: You know, I have a good plan for pulling out teeth.

Me: You do? (surprised by this revelation as this child has never lost a tooth nor does he have any immediate prospects)

#2: Yeah. All you have to do is tie a string around a tooth then wrap the other end of the string around a door and slam the door and the tooth will fly out.

Me: Oh, yes, I've heard of that before.

#2: But, it's very dangerous.

Me: Really?

#2: Yes, you have to be careful that the tooth doesn't fly out into your eye and make you blind.

Good point. . .and now more to worry about. Growing up is hard.
