My dear husband and I have been trying to get fit. And we are taking new and drastic measures to achieve some of our goals--like joining a bootcamp! Anyway, the boys have noticed a most unusual behavior in their parents as of late. Exercise. Everyday at least one of us leaves the house in a weird costume, with strange equipment (like a softball, used not for throwing but for working out tight muscles), and a water bottle only to return home with a limp and an empty water bottle. It's all going really well.
I do hope this is a good, memorable (as in, not temporary) example that we offer the boys in the way of wellness. And today afforded us some indication that at least one boy is paying close attention.
#3: (using one of our "medicinal"--not for throwing--softballs to work out the tight muscles behind his knees) Ahhhhhh. . .Oh, yeah. That's the spot--right in my underknuckles!

Once upon a time, there were two neighbors who used to walk...
And this will always remain the saddest part of my happiest move. Miss you, way over there. And my waistline does, too.
